Certified organic cultivation, respect for tradition and the experience of the past: these are the values of the Tenuta di Freddano, extending over 22 hectares on the hills overlooking Lake Corbara, 15 kilometres from Orvieto, where quality wine and oil are produced. An ancient culture that since 1927 has travelled through time, traditions and life experiences, arriving at organic farming as the natural evolution of a path centred on offering products born from respect for the environment.

It comes from 100% Merlot grapes.
The nose has austere and compact tones, "rocky" sensations that then open to notes of red fruit such as ripe cherry and black cherry, spices and roasting. In the mouth it is full and powerful with the return of fruit that keeps the drink fresh and balanced. It closes long on ematic and tobacco notes that determine this wine's great elegance and expressiveness.

Merlot Riserva, from 100% Merlot grapes. Matured for 12 months in barriques, deep ruby red in colour, the nose is broad and rich, offering intense and elegant floral and herbaceous aromas, hints of wild berries, spicy notes and balsamic and vanilla nuances. In the mouth, the wine relaxes with full body and soft tannins, enveloping the palate with elegance on fruity notes. Harmonious and persistent finish.

Brilliant gold in colour with green reflections. Elegance is the hallmark of an intense nose centred on citrus tones such as lime and grapefruit with tropical fruit close to guava. The taste is fine, subtle, enveloping and warm, but without losing dynamism, thanks to the well-calibrated acidity component and the pleasant saline qualities. The finish is very persistent, with harmonious and elegant, mineral and savoury returns, all linked together evoking the sea and saltiness.

Chardonnay Riserva. It is golden yellow in colour with greenish reflections. The nose is intense and enveloping with vanilla and mineral notes, white-fleshed fruit, enhanced by vegetal and floral notes of orange blossom and broom.
The palate is decidedly balanced between notes of vanilla and fruit such as pear and peach, very mineral and with a good freshness that enhances the savoury notes. Buttery notes on the finish given by the various batonnage on the fine skins.

Il nostro Spes, proviene da vitigni autoctoni umbri ed è composto da Grechetto, Malvasia e Procanico. Si presenta di colore giallo paglierino con riflessi dorati, esprime al naso aromi dolci e caldi, floreali diginestra e sambuco, e fruttati di pesca, ananas e leggera frutta esotica, che vengono arricchiti da venature minerali e da richiami alle erbe aromatiche (melissa, sambuco e timo). Al palato è avvolgente, equilibrato e persistente, sostenuto da buona acidità e sapidità. Il sorso risulta essere morbido e rispondente al naso, mentre la persistenza è lunga e agrumata.

Our Tufantello is a Late Harvest, it has a straw-yellow colour with greenish reflexes, on the nose it is pleasant and fragrant with mineral notes with hints of plum, peach, broom and green apple. On the palate it is sweet, harmonious and inviting.

Freddano extra virgin olive oil is a superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives grown on our estate. Our oil is the result of a careful study of the land; in fact, our estate has about six and a half hectares of olive groves. It is here that our olives are selected, hand-picked and pressed using a strictly mechanical and cold-pressing process. All these steps make it possible to enhance the quality of our oil to the full. The olive oil produced in the Orvieto area has a fruity and harmonious flavour that goes well with most local dishes and is the basis of raw condiments on soups and vegetables or on the classic bruschetta.
