The route designed in the company's specialised olive grove with around 600 trees, aims to familiarise participants with all the characteristics of the plant and its fruit, including the transformation of the fruit into oil.
Obviously, the practical part will vary depending on the time of the visit, going from pruning in February-March, to harvesting in late October-November, to fertilising in spring, from clearing useless branches in summer to transforming olives into oil in November-December.
The theoretical part will always be provided by films and stories with the following schedule:
- Illustration of the types of plants that make up the planting and the reason for this choice
- Soil care, fertilisation, grassing
- Various pruning systems depending on the type of harvesting used and reuse of scraps
- Various examples of olive harvesting: manual and mechanised
- Processing of the fruit at the mill and reuse of waste
- Oil conservation.
The route has as its target users
- all students, from kindergarten to high school
- groups of adults
- groups of foreigners, with the possibility of exposure for all in English and French.

Il percorso disegnato nell’uliveto specializzato dell’azienda con circa 600 piante, ha come obbiettivo di far conoscere ai partecipanti, un po’ tutte le caratteristiche della pianta e del suo frutto, compresa la trasformazione del frutto in olio.Ovviamente la parte pratica verrà variata a secondo dell’epoca della visita, passerà dalla potatura nei mesi di febbraio-marzo, alla raccolta di fine ottobre-novembre, alla concimatura primaverile, dalla ripulitura estiva dei rami inutili fino alla trasformazione in frantoio delle olive in olio di novembre-dicembre.La parte teorica sarà sempre comunque assicurata da filmati e racconti con la seguente scaletta:Illustrazione dei tipi di piante che compongono l’impianto e il perché di tale sceltaCura del terreno, concimazione, inerbimentoVari sistemi di potatura a seconda del tipo di raccolta che si utilizza e riutilizzo degli scartiVari esempi di raccolta delle olive: manuale e meccanizzataTrasformazione in frantoio del frutto e riutilizzo degli scartiConservazione dell’olio.
