FATTO A BASTARDO Leggenda narra che lungo l’antica strada Flaminia sorgesse l’Osteria del Bastardo, meta d’elezione per gli amanti del buon cibo, del buon vino e del bel… vivere. Oggi l’Osteria non c’è più, ma le antiche passioni continuano.

The Cesarini Sartori winery is among the most technologically advanced in Europe: entirely designed and built by the family in 2001, it stands on an unspoilt hillside just outside Bastardo, surrounded by medieval castles and 30 hectares of vineyards. Thanks to technology, it succeeds in minimising the use of sulphites and synthetic chemicals both in the vineyard and in the cellar, and in producing soft, perfumed wines - in true Umbrian tradition - that do not bother the head or the stomach. For years he has been conducting a study with the Universities of Florence and Perugia on the properties of the Sagrantino grape, the richest in antioxidant substances in nature, from which he makes health products such as grape juice and jam.
