Enogastronomia TENUTA ALZATURA

In the heart of Montefalco (Pg), a family-run estate rich in winegrowing tradition.

Tenuta Alzatura was established between 1995 and 1997, when Andrea Cecchi and his father Luigi discovered the greatness of Montefalco Sagrantino. It was precisely the search for an ideal place where they could express their own way of being in the wine-growing business that led them to a region that was close to Tuscany, but with a different culture and way of life. For the Cecchi family, Sagrantino is a very interesting grape variety, although difficult in terms of opulence, structure and vinification. This could be the right start for a nice challenge. Tenuta Alzatura is composed of three separate vineyards, San Marco, Alzatura and Monterone. The total area is 30 hectares under vine. The vinification of the grapes of different origins takes place separately and blending takes place after fermentation and before ageing.
