ORVIETO DOC CLASSICO SUPERIORE - Grechetto 70%, Procanico 30% Panata was born from the ambitious dream of creating a product that symbolises the best quality of the 'Orvieto Classico' appellation: choice of clones, lowering of yields, manual harvesting, meticulous control of every stage of the vinification process, and the utmost attention to detail for the packaging and label.

Signorelli Orvieto Doc Superiore is a project that unites art, culture and oenological tradition in a single experience with the aim of introducing the world to Orvieto's extraordinary artistic beauty through the fruit of the finest oenological art. Luca Signorelli was one of the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance and his pictorial masterpiece inside the Duomo of Orvieto contributed significantly to the city's beauty and fame in the world. In the contract concluded in 1500 between Luca Signorelli and the Opera Del Duomo it is stated that the artist requested, in addition to the traditional monetary compensation, a substantial supply of Orvieto wine. This request demonstrates the extraordinary fame and popularity of our wine even in Renaissance times. Dedicating to him the wine he enjoyed most during his lifetime seemed to us the best way to celebrate his memory. Here, then, our Orvieto Superiore is dressed up as Luca Signorelli: with a new label bearing his name and face. "Coats" and not "dresses" because our Orvieto Superiore has always been linked to the artist, bringing back two of his sketches preserved at the British Museum in London. Following the enormous success of the first vintage bottled and dedicated to the 500th anniversary of his death, we decided to continue the Signorelli project with a new label that represents a restyling of the first version. In this way we want to continue to remember this great painter, proud to live in Orvieto and proud to bring to the world a piece of art and history of our territory.
