The Painted House is something not to be missed by anyone with a passion for modern and contemporary art.

The owner, Irish painter Brian O'Doherty, aka Patrick Ireland, is world famous for his rope drawings, sculptures and his passion for the ancient Celtic alphabet 'Ogham'. Ireland, who lives in New York, started painting the walls of his Italian home in 1977 and returns to Todi every year in September to add new paintings.
