In the heart of Umbria, caressed by the breezes of Lake Trasimeno, there is an oasis where nature and the culture of good taste come together.

Pucciarella covers over 306 hectares in the municipalities of Magione and Corciano. The vineyards extend for 85 hectares on the most suitable and best-exposed hilly terrain, favourably conditioned by the mitigating action of Lake Trasimeno and the temperature range between day and night, caused by the cool air currents from nearby Monte Tezio. 30 hectares are olive groves and the rest arable land and woodland. At the heart of this estate is the medieval-style castle, built in 1717 by the Baldelli family of Perugia and subsequently extended in the early 19th century by the Massini family, major landowners in the area. Since 1932, the estate has been in the hands of Credito Fondiario Cariplo. The toponym 'Pucciarella', according to what today seems to be the most accredited hypothesis, would refer to the practice - widespread in this area - of celebrating fertility rituals. A theory that would find confirmation both in the presence of a votive stipe at 'Colle Arsiccio', and in the celebration of the ancient cult of St. Anne, kept inside the small church of the same name adjacent to the building. Here, during the year, only the liturgy of 26 July (the day of the celebration of the patron saint of harvests and parturients) is officiated, which over the years has become an occasion for the farm and its 'friends' to meet, who, between a psalm and a glass of good wine, perpetuate a tradition that is now a hundred years old.
