This cycling tour requires just a little physical effort to reach the town of Monterchi and discover one of Pier Della Francesca's masterpieces, "La Madonna del Parto". We will start out from Città di Castello, where we will begin cycling along the quiet and flat Tiber river cycle path, skirting the river bank as far as the junction with the state road, which in a few kilometres and a short final climb will take us to the main square of Monterchi.After a pleasant moment of relaxation, thanks to a local guide (qualified), we will be able to take a guided tour of the town museum where the Opera is kept. We will take the return route passing through nearby Citerna and admire the view of the entire Altotevere valley before descending to Piosina, after which we will follow the Tiber cycle route to Città di Castello.
