Breakfast at hotel and departure by electric car to “Torre dei Calzolari”, visit of the castle of Colmollaro of Bosone Novello, where Dante stayed. Colmollaro castle provided defence to the south-eastern part of the Gubbian territory but is today remembered mainly because it was the estate of Bosone II Novello Raffaelli. An architrave inside the fortress still carries an epigraph whose meaning remains unclear even to scholars. The drive to the castle passes through pristine woods, accompanied by the melodic voice of Saonda stream.
