The Guinzano farmhouse is situated in the hills, surrounded by ancient woods, a few kilometres from Gubbio. It has a restaurant and six bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. The structure was an old stone farmhouse dating back to before the 17th century, which has been renovated preserving intact the characteristic elements of the past. The rooms, which were originally stables, barns, sheds for agricultural equipment, and farmers' dwellings, have been transformed into the comfortable rooms of the agriturismo. The structure has been refurbished using elements that are compatible with the surrounding area: exposed stone, wood, terracotta, taking care of the furnishings down to the tiniest detail, and caring for the environment and wellbeing with the use of traditional, non-impacting materials. The farmhouse is certified and managed according to organic farming methods, and spreads over 16 hectares, part woodland and part dedicated to crops and livestock. The name derives from the denomination found in historical maps and means, in the Eugubinian dialect, that little piece at the end, because the place is definitely off the beaten track and is ideal not only for eating or sleeping, but for "unplugging" in unspoilt nature. Guinzano is also a restaurant, where food is not only seen as a way of eating, but represents the culture and history of the area, the rediscovery of flavours and a moment of conviviality; this is why we devote time and care in the search for products outside the large-scale retail trade and of organic or traditional production.
