In 1969, Angelo Dubini and his wife Maria Locatelli purchased Palazzone, beginning the reconversion of a farm in a state of semi-abandonment. It was a pioneering period: in those same years they planted 24 hectares of vineyards on land that had been particularly suited for centuries to the best viticulture in the area, just outside the village of Rocca Ripesena. Starting in 1982, under the business guidance of their son Giovanni, Palazzone began a journey made up of small vinifications and bottling, experiences that were necessary to arrive in 1988 at the construction of the cellar. Thus was born one of the most significant wineries in all of Umbria, now in its third generation with grandson Pietro.
