Day 1 Assisi. Before starting the walk, we advise spending a relaxing day exploring the historic and cultural beauty of this town, symbol of peace. See the most significant places in Assisi to get to know the world of St. Francis. Let the soothing beauty of the town and surrounding landscape permeate your spirit, and enjoy the mystical sensations that Assisi exudes in every season of the year. Day 2. Assisi-Deruta 23 km – travel time 6 hours The journey begins along the ancient brick-paved road leads from Assisi to the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, which houses the Porziuncola, a small church of great historical, artistic and cultural value. Francis sent the first friars from here to announce peace, thus founding the Franciscan order. The gentle hills will accompany you along the journey until you reach another city of art: Deruta. Noted for the production of ceramics and artistic majolica, it a beautiful historic centre and many places of cultural interest, such as the regional ceramics museum.Day 3Deruta-Todi 24 km – travel time 6 hours and 30 minutes From Deruta to Todi you will follow a paved road that follows the left bank of the Tiber River, and tracing the ancient route of the Via Amerina that has today completely disappeared. The pilgrimage route is marked by the presence of sacred shrines and churches that overlook both sides of the road along the way. The stage ends with your arrival in Todi called the "ideal city", of unique beauty and elegance situated on top of a hill overlooking the enchanting Tiber valley.Day 4

Todi. Before starting off, you should stroll around Todi, starting with the Cathedral and the Piazza del Popolo, bordered by the main public buildings of the medieval period. Not far from the piazza is the church of San Fortunato, dedicated to Todi’s patron saint and built in the 13th century, where the humanist poet Jacopone da Todi is buried, and decorated with a beautiful fresco by Masolino da Panicale.
