In the evening, a rich welcome dinner awaits you in an agriturismo / restaurant selected by us for the quality of the dishes as well as the perfect representation of Umbrian culinary tradition - drinks included.

After dinner, return to your accommodation and overnight stay.

In the morning we will reach Valtopina, appreciated in Umbria for its olive oil and black truffles. Truffle hunting in Umbria is a thousand-year-old tradition and our region produces the highest number of black truffles in Italy, the quality of which is famous throughout the world. The work of the truffle hunter is hard work made up of deep love for the land, intelligent observation, anticipation, and great satisfaction. We will take advantage of his knowledgeable guide, assisted by an incomparable four-legged explorer, to learn the secrets of this noble tuber through a nature trail of great beauty. And for those who still have some questions at the end of the hunt? Don't worry, the experience will end with a lunch-tasting in the forest that will dispel any doubts!

In the afternoon, we suggest a visit to Spello, an enchanting village of Roman origin, listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, thanks to its rich environmental, cultural and artistic heritage. Spello still retains traces of its historical past with its ancient walls and Properzio Towers protecting Porta Venere, another access point to the town. The church of Santa Maria Maggiore can be reached by strolling through charming alleys and ancient streets, along which flowered balconies overlook the town and which, with the passage of time, have become true symbols of the town, and still remain one of its most sought-after attractions. The church houses an artistic treasure inside: the Baglioni Chapel, with Deruta majolica floor tiles and frescoes by Pinturicchio. Spello also boasts a very rich Pinacoteca and, just outside the walls, a marvellous museum complex known as the "Villa Dei Mosaici", which has unearthed 500 square metres of precious mosaics whose central theme is the grape harvest and wine.

This morning we have thought up a special activity for you, which will immerse you even further in Umbrian traditions: you will attend a cooking class for the preparation of torta al testo, one of the most characteristic gastronomic specialities of our region. This will of course be followed by a tasting and lunch at the agriturismo. In the afternoon, we recommend a visit to our marvellous Assisi: a key city on the Franciscan route, it is known for its numerous historic buildings and alleyways and evocative places of worship. On the last day of our adventure, we thought we would offer you a free visit to Perugia: the Umbrian capital, with its immeasurable artistic, architectural and cultural heritage, is certainly one of the most evocative locations in our area. Departure and return home. Until next time!
