The Tortoioli farm was born from the 'vocation' for the countryside that has characterised the history of the Tortoioli family for generations; a passion for cooking did the rest, and so the grandparents' old and historic farmhouse became a holiday farm. The uniqueness of the Umbrian countryside and the proximity to the city of Assisi in particular, a strong tourist attraction, motivated the decision to integrate the agricultural activity with the accommodation business.Combining a passion for cooking, the countryside and horses, has made us realise, after a few years of experience "in the field", that an activity that complements agriculture enhances and adds value to its various sectors, whether it be livestock farming, vegetable production, olive oil or wine production. Our guests, in the vast majority of cases, have very little experience of life in the countryside and even less experience of farm work or the methods of producing or collecting eggs in the henhouse.

Here with us, they have the opportunity to get to know our world, not through description or storytelling, but in a tangible way through guided visits to various farms and herds in our area; this represents an incredibly 'real' experience for our guests. In this context, we came up with the idea of inserting real educational courses dedicated above all to children, who here with us can live the unique experience of direct contact with nature, farming traditions and animals.
