The reference farm is located in the hills behind the Umbria-Marches Apennines, to the north of the region, an area suited to annual crops, livestock farming, quality fodder (we are over 600 metres above sea level) and the various products of the forest. The woodland on the farm is made up of various essences: oaks, hornbeams, beeches and others, as well as undergrowth such as butcher's broom, various flowers and edible and non-edible mushrooms, as well as the presence of both black and white truffles. The forest, therefore, in these areas was and is seen as an integral part of agricultural and or business activity.
