VISIT OF MONTEFALCO - PICNIC IN THE VINEYARD - FREE VISIT OF RASIGLIA - SANTA MARIA DEGLI ANGELI

In the morning you will reach Montefalco, an Umbrian village of incredible history and beauty; Montefalco is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, situated on the top of a hill overlooking the plain of the Topino and Clitunno rivers. Montefalco is called the 'Balcony of Umbria' and from its belvederes, in fact, it is possible to admire a 360-degree panorama over the entire valley between Perugia and Spoleto, from the slopes of the Sub Apennines to those of the Martani Mountains. Around 12 noon we will reach a famous vineyard near Montefalco for a guided tour that will take you from the cellar to the vineyards to discover the secrets of the Sagrantino wine-making process. After the visit we will have a wonderful picnic with Umbrian delicacies and a good bottle of wine!

Umbria is also the region of ancient villages. After lunch you will discover one of these jewels, Rasiglia, the village of torrents. The village retains the typical characteristics of a medieval hamlet, gathering it into an amphitheatre-like structure. In the late afternoon, before dinner, visit Santa Maria degli Angeli and La Porziuncola and have an aperitif with a beautiful view of Assisi.

Dinner in a typical restaurant in Santa Maria degli Angeli - drinks included.

Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

GUIDED TOUR OF PERUGIA - CASA DEL CIOCCOLATO PERUGINA - LUNCH IN A RESTAURANT - GOODBYE!

Perugia, the capital of Umbria, is worth visiting not only for the beauty of its hilltop setting, but also for its fine old buildings. Before it came under Roman rule, ancient Perusia was one of the twelve cities of the Etruscan federation, and considerable sections of the Etruscan walls, which extended for 2,800 meters around the town, have been preserved. During our time in Perugia, we’ll take a visit to the Perugina Chocolate House, located inside the renowned Perugina chocolate factory. The Consular gate marks the entrance to the city of Spello or, as Julius Caesar used to call it, the "Splendidissima Colonia Julia", an enchanting village of Roman origins, included among the most beautiful villages in Italy, thanks to its rich environmental, cultural and artistic heritage. Spello still keeps traces of its historical past with the ancient walls and Properzio's Towers that protect Porta Venere, another access point to the village.
